Freedom Outreach is a place designed for individuals that are interested in knowing more about Long Island Teen Challenge. It is a night of worship, fellowship and a place to hear the testimonies of changed lives. We also provide enrollment, interviews, support group, recovering care for students and a family meetings on the 2nd Friday of every month. Our outreach is located at 641 Broadway (Route 110) Amityville, NY 11701 on Fridays at 6:30 PM
We encourage everyone to come and see God’s hand moving in your life. Don’t miss out.
Stay Sharp is a drug-prevention outreach that reaches the youth in our local schools. We bring real life stories of Teen Challenge students to middle school and high school students, sharing the truth of how addiction can detour someone’s path. At the outreach we connect to them through activities, Stay Sharp videos, testimonies, and Q & A. Stay Sharp reaches the heart of our youth and creates lasting relationships. We are continuing to reach out to the children of our community.
Rock the Block
Rock the Block is the cutting edge, culturally relevant, urban evangelistic street ministry of Long Island Teen Challenge. We feature contemporary gospel music, praise dance, drama, and preaching. Evangelism teams from various Teen Challenges, churches, and ministries from across the country partner with us as we go from city to city to “Rock the Block.” Our goal is to reach the lost through the Gospel of Jesus Christ with contemporary arts. Rock the Block has ministered to hundreds of thousands of people around the world in places like New York City, Coney Island, Long Island, Brooklyn, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Africa. Rock the Block continues to partner with various school districts and continues to put forth a solid effort to rid the schools, streets, churches and local communities of the drug epidemic. It is our deepest desire to see people embrace their purpose and fulfill their God-given call and embrace the hope and destiny that they have for their lives.
Hoop Challenge Basketball Camp is one of our most valuable outreach tools. We target hundreds of “at-risk” youth, invite them to the camp and teach them basketball and edifying life skills. At Hoop Challenge, campers are challenged to resist the lure of drugs and alcohol, and are encouraged to pursue their education, God-given purpose and dreams. Some of the campers who have been with us since their early teens are now being recruited by Division One Colleges for their basketball programs. We had appearances by top University and NBA coaches as well as accomplished basketball players.
Our emphasis on discipleship continues with Super Saturday Kids Krusade. Every Saturday, during the months of October through December, we transport over 225 children from low-income communities throughout Long Island to Freedom Outreach for a fun filled day of free give-a-ways, lunch, and the Gospel. We use puppets, games and interactive activities to entertain and teach the kids on God’s love and edifying life skills. Since 2003, Freedom Chapel International Worship Center sponsors a special Christmas event where we give away over 125 bikes, and over 350 Christmas stockings filled with toys and candy to over 350 children. For many children this event makes their Christmas meaningful and enjoyable. It brings them together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in an exciting atmosphere!
